This Saturday evening, the “Libya Clean” Environment and Sanitation Services Exhibition, in its second edition, launched at the Tripoli International Fair. The event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Mohamed Al-Hweij; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government for Municipal Affairs, Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Salem; the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Local Administration at the Ministry of Local Government, Mr. Nasr Al-Mahtout; his deputy, Mr. Abu Bakr Al-Trabelsi; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade for Economic Affairs, Mr. Saad Hanish. The General Director of the Environmental Sanitation Department, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Dakheel; the General Manager of the Tripoli International Fair, Mr. Islam Jaafar; the Mayor of the Central Municipality of Tripoli, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Khalifi; the Head of the Ministry of Water Resources Office, Mr. Mohamed Mqari; representatives of the Renewable Energy Agency and Zueitina Oil Company, along with several officials and directors of environmental sanitation directorates across Libya, were also present.

Minister of Economy and Trade Mr. Mohamed Al-Hweij emphasized the importance of a healthy, pollution-free environment, urging the need to work towards maintaining a clean, disease-free environment. He also highlighted the necessity of planting trees within cities, not limited to forests and remote areas, due to their role in creating a clean and pollution-free environment.

During his speech, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Dakheel, General Director of the Environmental Sanitation Department at the Ministry of Local Government, expressed his deep pride and joy to be present at the “Libya Clean” exhibition. He described it as an important step toward raising environmental awareness and showcasing efforts to maintain environmental and community cleanliness.

Bin Dakheel highlighted that the participation of the Environmental Sanitation Department in this exhibition goes beyond mere presence, underscoring its commitment to achieving a healthy and sustainable environment for every Libyan citizen. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Local Government’s commitment to pursuing the journey towards a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

The General Director also expressed his happiness that the golden sponsorship of the second season of the Libya Clean Exhibition embodies active partnerships with all institutions concerned with the cleanliness of cities and municipalities.

Bin Dakheel emphasized his confidence that this exhibition would provide an opportunity to learn about best practices and innovations in sanitation and environmental cleanliness. He expressed hope that maximum benefit could be derived from these experiences and applied to serve our community, hoping that this forum would serve as a platform for constructive cooperation and a united effort towards a better future.
